Painting Light and Shadow

A Six-Lesson Old Master Brunaille Course focusing on the values that create convincing light, shadow, and three-dimensional form in classical painting.

Brunaille is the traditional practice of painting in shades of brown. Working with only raw umber and white allows you to concentrate purely on value before introducing the additional complexity of color.
